1. What exactly is a Singing Valentine?

It's a live, musical Valentine's greeting, delivered to the person(s) you choose, at the place of your choice. A male barbershop quartet from the award-winning Northbrook New Tradition Chorus will go to the place you request and sing a song in a cappella four-part harmony. Along with the song, a long-stem, red rose and a card - personalized with your message - will be delivered.

2. What dates and times are the Singing Valentines available?

Our normal delivery dates and times are as follows:
  • Saturday, February 12th, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 13th, all day (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Monday, February 14th, all day (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
If you have a special need for days and times other than these and are willing to pay extra, please contact us and we'll see if we can make arrangements for you.

3. Who have you sung for?

We've sung for doctors, lawyers, public officials, housewives, bosses, secretaries, mothers, husbands, wives, children, grandparents, teachers, co-workers, and many others. Just about anyone will appreciate the gift of a Singing Valentine.

4. Is there a deadline for placing an order?

Yes, we take orders through noon on February 12. We encourage you to order as early as possible to ensure that we can accommodate your order.

5. How much does a Singing Valentine cost?

It depends on the timing of the delivery. Prices for a Singing Valentine begin at $50 for delivery in the north, northwest and western suburbs. This base price applies to deliveries a. within our standard February 12-14 delivery times, and b. for a flexible delivery time window of four hours.

6. May I request a more specific time for my Valentine to be delivered?

If you wish to be more specific than the 4 hour window we allow, you can specify a 1-hour or a 2-hour time frame. The cost for a 1-hour time window is $100; 2 hours is $75. The standard window of 4 hours is $50. This is due to the complexity of scheduling dozens of deliveries and making sure we have a quality quartet available so the moment is special. Other special requests and deliveries outside of our usual area are subject to additional fees and the availability of our quartets. Please contact us for more information, to find out whether your location is in our usual delivery area, and to find out what's possible to meet your needs.

7. Where can you have the Singing Valentine delivered?

We can deliver your Valentine just about anywhere in the north, northwest and western suburbs. If you want a Singing Valentine delivered outside this area, please call and we will see if we can help. Singing Valentines have been delivered at offices, restaurants, factories, bowling alleys, hospitals, construction sites, churches, private parties, school classrooms, nursing homes, and taverns. You'd be surprised at some of the unusual locations we've been! If you have questions about a specific delivery location, please call 1-800-746-9246. PLEASE NOTE: Be sure the place you choose will allow a quartet to deliver at that location. For example, you may need to make special arrangements with building security or for someone to meet us at a workplace, or check with a restaurant to make sure they allow deliveries. If you advise us that delivery is confirmed, but the delivery is refused at the site, you will still be billed based on the time spent for travel and the attempt to deliver by the quartet.

8. What song will be sung?

"The Story of The Rose" which is also known as "Heart of My Heart, I Love You."

9. What if I live outside your usual delivery area?

If you are not too far from our usual delivery area, we may be able to make special arrangements for you at an extra charge to cover travel costs and the extra time our quartet will spend traveling to your location. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

10. May I specify a specific quartet to deliver my order?

While we try to accommodate as many special requests as possible, when we have high delivery volume we schedule each quartet in a specific part of our delivery area. Therefore, we are unable to guarantee delivery by specific quartets.

11. Do I need to be there when you deliver the Valentine?

No, you are not required to be there. Of course, if you'd like to share in the amazing experience and see the look on your loved one's face, you're more than welcome to be there. If you wish, we will call you a few minutes before our delivery so you can make arrangements to be present. Be sure to tell your order taker if you want us to call before we deliver your Valentine. It is helpful if you provide us with the name and phone of a contact person at the delivery site who can assist us if challenges arise.

12. Can I order more than one Singing Valentine?

Sure! Order as many as you like - get one for each of your kids, or one for your parents, or for your boss. Get one for any special person in your life. There is no limit on the number of Valentines you can order.
